Dillon, Thomas Xavier Sr.
A Ludlow native, attorney, former Ludlow Police Judge, and employment counselor for the Kentucky State Board of Economic Security. Thomas Xavier Dillon was born on March 28, 1894 in Ludlow. Dillon attended St. Xavier University Law School of Cincinnati. He practiced law in Cincinnati for six years until his election to the position of Ludlow Police Judge in 1925. He lost a campaign for re-election in 1929 to Edwin O. Ross.
Dillon married Mary Sullivan on October 13, 1926 at St. James Church, Ludlow (Mary Sullivan Dillon was a long-time organists at St. James). In c. 1939, Dillon moved from Ludlow to the City of Erlanger. He lived at 106 Commonwealth Avenue for the next 15 years.
Thomas Xavier Dillon died on January 1, 1954. He was survived by his widow, Mary Sullivan Dillon, and by six children: Thomas X. Dillon Jr., Joseph Dillon, Lawrence Dillon, John T. Dillon S.J., Sister Mary Colleen Dillon S.N.D., and Margaret Ann Dillon.
