Bromley - Ransom, Earl F.

Ransom was a former mayor, police judge and city councilman In Bromley. He was born on August 31, 1923. Earl Ransom served in the United States Army during the Second World War. Following the war, he was employed by Cincinnati Bell Telephone Company. Earl F. Ransom was named mayor of Bromley in 1978. He held this position until 1981.

Ransom was also a member of the Bromley Vets, Bromley Volunteer Fire Department, Unity Lodge No. 478 of Ludlow, the Eastern Star and a member of the board of directors of the Home Federal Savings Bank of Ludlow.

Earl F. Ransom died at St. Charles Care Center in Fort Wright on January 19, 1999 at the age of 75. He was survived by his wife, Pauline Surber Ransom. The couple had three children: Randall Ransom, Paula Ransom and Rebecca jean Ransom (died in 1952).

Funeral services were held at Lakeside Christian Church in Lakeside Park, Kentucky. Burial was at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Erlanger.
