School is out and it is time for fun in the sun! But it also means kids will experience the summer slide where they lose some of the skills and knowledge they gained during the school year. Luckily, the library is here to help prevent the summer slide without cutting into summer fun.
If your child is learning to read or needs more practice with reading skills check out our decodable and phonics books.
If your child is reading at a lower reading level, check out our Hi/Lo books (High interest, low reading level).
If your child has dyslexia or other learning difficulties, check out our books for readers with dyslexia and this list of books with ADHD representation.
Lastly, let’s not forget about science and math. This list provides several activity books to keep these skills going in the summer.
