How to Host the Perfect Super Bowl Party

The first step to hosting the perfect Super Bowl party has already happened... The Cincinnati Bengals are in the game! So what's next?

  1. Decorations - You can create banners, posters, buttons and more in the STREAM Center at the Erlanger Branch or the Maker Space at the Covington Branch. You can use the Creativebug database (library card number required) to create a no-sew banner, pom poms and other fun decorations.
  2. Wardrobe - The host has to be decked out for the big game! You can create your own T-shirts in the STREAM Center or Maker Space. Get extra crafty and create a fun headband or scarf using Creativebug
  3. Party Gifts - Do you want to give your guests a fun gift to take home? Create unique mugs in the Maker Space for $6 each (bring your design on a flash drive or create at the library). You could engrave glasses, keychains or another special item in the STREAM Center. Custom-made buttons from the library could also be a fun gift.
  4. Pre-game Music - We suggest getting in the mood for the halftime show by listening to music from the performers scheduled. You can stream music from Mary J. Blige, Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem and Kendrick Lamar for free from the library using Hoopla. You can even stream the same music Joe Burrow listens to before every game. According to his Instagram, he listens to Kid Cudi's New York City Rage Fest, Soundtrack to My Life, Up and Up, Up and Away. You can also stream Cudi for free from the library.
  5. Food - This one is important. Cincinnati Chili, Larosa's Pizza and Graeter's ice cream are the obvious choices. You can also get creative by making football-themed food. The dirt cups are cute and yummy. Meatball stuffed football bread will win over any crowd. The mini mac and cheese cups are a fun snack.

Be sure to schedule an appointment for the STREAM Center or Makerspace. Some items do have a supply fee.

We've also made a list of books that can help with your football knowledge, as well as your party.
