The Kenton County Public Library partnered with Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport in May of 2023 to bring books to the airport. The Airport Library, located in Concourse B, has become so popular that the Campbell County Public Library, Boone County Public Library and Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County recently joined this regional partnership.
Travelers can read and relax in the Airport Library or even take the book with them on their flight. No library card is needed. We know it’s not always possible to return the item, so people are welcome to keep it for their collection. However, books can be returned to the Airport Library or at any branch of the participating libraries. Books in good condition, particularly adult fiction and biographies, all books for children and teens can be donated at any location of the Kenton County Public Library as long as they are clearly marked for the Airport Library. We cannot accept yearbooks, encyclopedias, dictionaries, etc. However, those items can be donated to the Friends of the Library.
Airport Library visitors can also find information on downloading audio and eBooks for free.
Your First Stop to Getaway
The library receives new and updated travel books from Fodor, Lonely Planet, and Moon every year (there are more than could ever be listed here.) Check out your local branch for all the most current travel guides from around the world! PS You can also find digital copies of some travel guides on the Hoopla & Libby apps. Having trouble with the apps? Ask a staff member to help get you started.
